Default Buck a pound

On the trapping category beavers are only a buck a pound at Trapper Gords....heck of a deal......LOL...more than the fur...I'd get a damage permit and go get some before paying a buck a pund...but supply and demand and the time to do it.....

I cant believe do people buy everything.. Why not just buy the bear hunt then. There is beaver out there all you have to do is talk to the farmers like anything else. We get 25 a years and the money we make of the hides is a nice bonus for the trip.

Dunno, The pelt is worth $10 on a 25 pound beaver. So the trapper gets $35 bucks for about 3 hours worth of work, traveling, trapping, skinning, stretching and the carcass is clean and frozen. He also has to pay to keep the doors open and someone behind the till, so a buyer can conveniently stop alongside the highway and pick up clean and frozen carcass. Doesn't sound all that bad to me.

Default Do it yourself

As Trophy Hunters says, you can get beavers yourself with a few evening hours spent. Also it gets a person out when cabin fever has set in like this year...LOL...I still think a buck a pound is a bit much....no it's quite a bit too much but if he can sell them then that's free enterprise, if he ends up with a few freezers full of beavers left then that's dumb business practice.

I agree, got lots of dugouts around the farm that gramps wants the beavers delt with... But i tend to think that it would be a bit tuff to shoot a beaver thru the ice? Lol bow fishing for beavers.... Now theres an idea lol
