Default Sturgeon fishing North Saskatchewan River

Hi all,

I was just curious to know, if a person wanted to target Sturgeon, would they be better off fishing the Genesse stretch of the North Saskatchewan River, or areas east of Edmonton? I have always heard that Genesse was a producer, however most of the Strugeon being caught that I hear about are coming from the east of Edmonton area.

I am not looking for specific spots, just a discussion.

Default Sturgeon fishing north

Definitely east of Edmonton. Gennese area is great fishing, but more so for walleye, pike, and goldeye.
