Default Savage edge/axis trigger job (FREE AND EASY)

i found this online and did it to my gun with just a spring out of a pen and a screw that i cut down to size with bolt cutters. it was easy to do with no gun modification required and reduced the trigger pull weight by at least half i'd say, i dont have a scale.

- make sure you dont lose the little c shaped ring that goes on the pin holding the trigger in, mine shot off and i almost couldnt find it!

there was some yellow crap in the hole where the screw goes in im guessing thats for warrenty anyways its gone now, use the tension pin method if you want to keep your warranty.

good luck i think you'll like your edge even more after this easy little mod!

i took my axis to corlanes and for $50.00 had the trigger pull brought down to about 2 1/2 pounds by a professional. i dont no how many people on this site should be making modifications to the trigger mechanisms of rifles. the safety issue isnt just with the shooter but also the people he or she hunts with. my opinion for what its worth. a spring out of pen?

the pen spring is only temporary, but it works just fine, it is at 3.5 pounds now, but it is going to bother me that it is not the "perfect" spring, does anyone know any stores that sell small assorted springs?
