Tuc,

that moose you are mentioning is from Campbelton, New Brunswick. It was shot the first day of moose season this year on Sept 27, 2007. It is not a Yukon Alaskan moose but rather a Canadian moose eastern style. Yes we do have them that big here in New Brunswick. It made the front page of the newspaper. I have a copy of the local paper from Campelton area. I was driving back from my annual moose hunt in Gaspe Quebec and stopped at the first gas station near the Campbelton border and Quebec. The NewBrunswick season is only 3 days by draw only.

I counted 40 scorable points and it was 63 inches wide. The attached photo shows a New Brunswick forest ranger attaching a tag to the leg at the Rangers office while buddy was registering his beast.

The bull near the airplane is from Alaska and was shot back a few years ago. Initially a 86 inch bull but I heard that it was actually 83 inches. We don't have them that big in New Brunswick but then again we don't have Yukon moose

Scott

You are right I believe 2004 on the King river north of Anchorage no hobbits in the picture I believe he was just shy of 84" wide
