50/50 Moose Rack

Hi guys,

Interesting moose rack my Father got to score. The moose being taken with a crossbow on September 23rd 2007 in Nothern Ontario. By the time he got to measure it, most of the velvet had flaked off the front of the right palm, and there was nothing on the moose's right antler. The back of the right palm still had a large patch of velvet attached.

183 6/8 was the score. There was 9 inches of deductions, mostly because there was a brow palm on one side and only a brow tine on the other. It probably was an older moose. A moose bio friend, thinks that it most likely had low testosterone levels because of its age. As well one side had a distinct fold in the palm, almost a right angle.

Heck of rack regardless.

Wow, nice rack. Late in the season to have that much velvet.
