Go to Pigeon lake. Get a walleye tag in a week ( unsuscribed ) and ur good to go. Search this site for spots.

Funny, talk on the forum is that Snipe is overfished and on the verge of collapse! I was there a couple of months ago and had great fishing (whites, perch, pike), but there sure were a lot of trucks out!

If you're not picky about size, I'd suggest Coal Lake in early June, just as the water is warming up. You'll catch lots of hammer handles, and maybe a keeper or two...

Welcome to the forum, and good fishin',

there are a few decent lakes in the area.

Wabumun is good for huge pike (just remember the whole lake is C&R), Buck Lake further west is pretty decent most times for walleye if you get on to them. you won't catch a lot of keeper size but fun anyways. Lake Isle north of Wabumun is pretty decent also along with Lac St Anne. Lac La Nonne is fun for pike in the weed beds (i personally wouldn't eat anything out of this lake if you saw the pea soup color of the lake in summer). Coal Lake just south of you is not bad.

then there of course is Sylvan Lake, Gull Lake, Pigeon and Battle Lake west of Hwy 2 that all produce pretty decent.

all these lakes have differing and varying limits and C&R rules so makes sure you read up on the lake before you go.

lots of decent lakes to explore in the Edmonton area.

Depends on what you're after (pike/walleye or trout). Do you want streams or lakes? Do you have a boat or you a shore fisherman?

Lots of places I can help with (I'm also in Leduc). Just more info to help point you in the right direction.

Also, get Barry Mitchell's Fishing Guide (Canadian Tire or local fishing shop) and it will give lots of information on where to go and what's there.

See ya
Ace

Oh yeah, the Leduc resevoir is stocked annually as well.
