Thanks for the update on the ice.

I hit Mcgregor instead, 8-12 inches of ice. Fished from 5am til 2 pm not a single bite. Tried every tactic I know including jigs and bait, not even a nibble. Targeted Ling, pike and whites in the morning and went after perch in the afternoon. Fished the boat launch, fished the east point, fished the rocks....didn't even see a fish. Spoke with three groups out there and they seem to be doing as well as I was.

Think I might hit Badger on Tuesday afternoon.

I was driving by Travers today (2014-12-21) and saw a lot of open water. This shot is just up from the dam on the east end, looking west.

Not the greatest ice conditions these days with all the warm weather... Were you fishing on 10" of ice over on the west side, by Little Bow Provincial Park?

I was on McGregor, never made to Travers.
Thanks for the pic, looks like it might be a bit before I risk the trip down there.

Default Travers

That end of the lake is over 100' deep so it takes some serious winter weather before it is even remotely advisable to venture out onto the ice

Know a guy that dropped a truck in, last year, in that area. It was around feb. I wouldn't recommend driving. Anybody got a wind boat? lol
