Smile Gull Lake report

Good day,

Was out at Gull this afternoon and for the short time we were there (< 1.5 hours) we managed to catch 3 pike between two of us. For the amount of time our lures were in the water (a lot less than the time we were there) I was fairly impressed as I've never been fishing out there. We launched at the Aspen Beach Day use by the concession and headed North just a bit past the other Beach and trolled up and down the point towards somewhat of an island. Picking them up in around 16 to 17 feet of water. Overall I was impressed because they were all around 60 to 65 cm and quite heavy for the length (around the 4 to 5 lb mark). Tomorrow we might head back over to Coal or down to Glennifer. I wouldn't mind to find some bigger beasts somewhere but last time at Coal we caught a whole lot of hammer handles. Gull was also quite busy and active of a lake which makes fishing sometimes a little bit more challenging.

Cheers!

KRF
