Fair enough. Better yet lets make an AO pact to leave them alone for a year to breed. We dont want anyone throwing them up in the air to release like walleye... They might land so hard that it hurts their junk and they can't reproduce. Wouldn't that just SUCK.

Default Bass

There is a lake just north of the town of Smokey Lake, that has large mouth bass planted in it a number of years ago. A freind caught a 4 lb.er 4 years ago there. The lake is very muddy around the shore and getting a boat into it wouled be difficult. It is just north a few miles and east a mile or two of Smoky Lake.

As far as I know the last bass were stocked in Island Lake in the 80's, 30 some years ago. The fish were never shown to reproduce, however they were found in their up to 10 years later. Without a reproducing population is seems very unlikely your buddy caught one 4 years ago. Im not saying your lying but maybe your buddy was streching the truth a little or maybe he caught a huge perch and figured it must be a bass. Or maybe Im totally wrong and talking nonsense.

You know it! Should probably only let Fish-killer hold them for a while after we let people fish it. You know, since he's the only one who knows how to hold fish.....

There was a confirmed bass caught there I think two years ago. It was taken to a lab. Biologist on this forum confirmed it, i just cant recall his username. But I think they stocked smallies not LM Bass. Obviously some successful spawning occurred.

Island Lake...Smallmouth bass, not Largemouth.
