Thumbs up N.s.r Report 29,03,12, Closeups.

N.s.r was good today but still slow, we caught 6 fish in total and saw another friend who was fishing in another spot catch a rocky mountain white, so cool, caught some smaller pike and 1 walleye landed, saw thousands of boatman back swimmers, had plenty of bites, got a tan, t-shirt weather, huge chucks of ice floating down the river as well (what i mean by huge chunks is you will have one solid long 1000 foot piece of ice floating in front of you then clear again for an hour until another shelf floats by), be careful and enjoy. Over all it was very slow today for everyone but picking up.

Finally loving the t-shirt weather

Check this guy out, so coo, saw thousands and thousand floating down the river lol

Glad to hear that things are picking up a little on the river as well! I'd come down and join ya but it's moving day tomorrow

Had to google that one... interesting stuff on that there google thing

Dyticidae, steroids and breast enhancement

When mishandled adults secrete a fluid from theri thoracic glands as a defence. This fluid contains steroids, in fact one secretion contains as much deoxyxorticosteron as a whole herd of cows. Consequently pharmecutical companies use Dytiscids in theri R and D. Even more remarkableis the practice followed by an east African tribe. The young women collect adult Dytiscids, and then induce them - probably by mishandling them - to bite their breasts. The defensive hormone-like steroids (estrone, estradial and testosterone) secreted by the beetles stimulates breast growth!
