Is your bike street legal ? There is a group called Alberta Dual Sport where you could meet up with other like minded riders. Mostly it's guys with street legal machines. Probably some without.

Wild rose motocross downtown Calgary. Pick one of the five tracks, and ride. Meet others whom also want to trail ride burnt timber, etc.

Join the Rocky Mountain Dirt Riders. https://rmdra.com/ They have the best and only maps as far as I know, of the trail system at Maclean Creek. Lots of guys looking for riding buddies on their website as well. They used to do guided rides every Wednesday evening but not sure if they have fired that back up now due to COVID.

Looked into rmdra but they require a headlight and taillight and I'd have to buy a stator and lighting kit and just not ready to do that yet. Thanks for the replies guys

That's because it's the law if you want to legally ride on crown land. A lot of guys use battery operated ones and rarely ever turn them on. Seems to satisfy the authorities.
