Default Maybe

I was thinking about braving the icy hell, now that I have Burb fever. Probably Sunday. I've never fished CVR in the winter, where does everybody set up?

I have had my shack on crawling since last wendsday, pulled it out wit ha half ton ice was 12 inches then, on saturday it marked 14 inches and tomorrow im guessing 18 inches, you really have to know the lake to drive on early ice, im set up on the eastside islands.

The Duck Lake road runs north-south between #1 Highway and the 561 secondary, it parallels CVR. At approximately 1/2 way between between these highways is the Encana Makepeace gas plant, turn east there and follow the road right to the lake. You can usually access the ice in a couple of spots. There are several sunken islands and drop offs right in this area.
