Was out there a little before 8 this morning. The walking was a little tougher than the last time I was out there , good 30 min walk to the spot I like to fish.

Bite was on early but very light , I had a lot of trouble hooking up. Managed 3 up the hole , 2 little guys and one decent 20 incher. Saw fish on the flasher in every hole I fished some just weren't interested though they'd swim up look at it and swim away.

All and all not a bad day , weather was awesome , that's 2 trips this year with good weather which is amazing for Spray

Was there for the first time tiday with a few buddies from the forum.
Straight out from the launch about 200 yds in a clam nanook

Bite was light but i managed 4 through the ice and a few missed hooksets

My buddies got hits but couldnt hook up.

No size, 12 inches was the biggest

I was driving a mid 90's green and silver GMC 4x4, probably saw some of you at the launch. Ill be out there again this weekend, hope to see some of you out there,

I've never fished Spray Lake before, always stuck to lakes to the east of Calgary. Now that I moved to Cochrane, Spray is so close. I'd like to try it soon. Any suggestion on the type of set up to use? Thanks.

if the bite is very light, try a Marmish rod, its amazing how you can detect any bite at all with the light indicator. havent tried it on trout yet, but caught walleye and pike with it so far. (Small pike)

I heard you can't take any motorized vehicle onto Spray Lake. Is that true?

Sounds like Spray is doing good. Let us know if anyone is heading out there next weekend. We have our own gear, but would be nice to meet up with some people out there
