Default Good river or lake fishing near Okotoks

Hi there, I am in Okotoks for the next few days and was wondering if anybody knew of any good places to fish. I am open to all species of fish! Thanks a bunch

Try down by the library and bridges. Just wander and fish the pools and riffles. Your pretty close to the highwood and where it enters the bow. Also around the golf courses east of you the bow has some beautiful spots. Park and walk you won't go far before you find some nice spots. Best of luck to you. Fly or small spinners is your best bet likely. Post pics and let us know how u made out

This.

Fished it for the first time a couple weeks ago, using a brown wooly bugger - caught several rainbows right in town - somewhere near a baseball diamond.

Cheers

There is a paved pathway all along the north bank of the Sheep from the main bridge west of downtown all the way east to Seaman stadium (the ball park mentioned above). Easy access all the way down. Just pick your spot. usually see an angler or two most days, but it's actually not heavily fished. Rainbows, mtn whitefish, the odd bull (I caught one of those 10 years ago. Nothing since).
