Lots of everything in 340 But I agree with Slicktricker the odds of bumping a moose seem to be less than they were 5 years back. Jumped 4 cows with calves last season and a bull earlier this year

The moose are in the parklands. My friend got these pics in January this year about 1.5 hours from Edmonton.

Took a 1/2 day foray to Swan Hills on Saturday, we saw the most moose of any trip this year so far... From the road!

They are out there. Lately it's been windy in the places I hunt, so into the bushes we go.

Ha. I'm seeing lots of Deer and Moose, but those Elk are playing tricks on us in the zone we're in.

Just South of Zipper Lip Creek by Whisper Mountain.

You have to look farther away ! At least a 1000 meters away, or even farther !

That's where everybody is shootin them ,

See now, if you were scouting deer all you'd see is.....insert any other species.

In my case it's moose.

Actually , I was more pleased to find some Hungarian Partridges while scouting for geese. The dog and I are going to head back out to try and get some of them this week. After over 45 years of hunting big game, I am winding down my big game hunting, and spending more time hunting birds. I rarely bother with deer these days, alrhough I did draw at Camp Wainwright, because I will be there hunting antlered moose.

I got 14 Huns that visit me every few days. Cat don't even bother with them no more, think the huns beat the cat up. No shootin zone. Nice to see though.

Hear ya on winding things down. Dang moose for me less a bunch of young guys are around. Could do it solo before.

Saw 4 last night (1 nice bull, & 3 cows) and 3 last weekend in the same area of 406.

I see at least 1 every time I'm out there...

I've seen more moose this season than deer !
