Default Canmore/Kananaskis Upland Bird Hunting
Has anybody had any success hunting ruffed grouse, blue grouse or ptarmigan in the Canmore/Kananaskis area? Heading down there end of November for a few weeks. I have a pointing dog and am willing to walk. Any info is greatly appreciated!

410 is bow only. You may find some grouse but probably not more than a few

Lots of ruffles in 406&404 Kananaskis - got two after work today!

Blues are there but up higher generally. Had a shot a ptarmigan near sheep river a couple years ago.

Nothing tricky about it - if it looks like grouse country it probably is.
