I was looking at both those pairs when they had the Hometown heroes sale and settled on the black Inferno 2000’s so I can wear them at work as well as in a stand, blind or over a hole in the ice.

Meant 4 or 5 years ago the brown version I thought was called something other than Trans Alaska. I'm probably mistaken. Also got mine through hometown heroes back in the day for 140$.

Ahhh. Gotcha.
All three I tried on were nice boots. The Sask pacs almost came home with me.
$140 was a good price. I paid $179
Cheers

They fit small. If you usually go 1/2 size bigger with boots (or you did 27 years ago.......smh lol) go a full size so you can wear good socks in them.

Mine fit well with a heavy weight sock and I ordered true to size. I spent 4 days with them in -23 last week and they rocked but then again no marathon running or you will sweat and get cold. I'd say go to the store in person and try them on.

+1 for Schnee's pac boots and also Kenetrek Pac boots. I own both and love them for sitting in the cold. Not the best for long walks but very warm.

I own a pair of Kenetrek Pac Boots. Ive had them for a couple years now. I only Really wear them if its Really Cold and I know my feet Will freeze in my regular hikers or if I don't plan on walking much. Great Boots. Well worth the price.. I think they were around $350 with Shipping, Duty etc...

Haven’t really tried them out but shovelled the driveway and was walking on air.

I bought a pair of these last year and tried them for the first time last week, ground blind hunting for deer. 90 minutes in -18C. Paired with Carhartt heavy wool socks (also from Cabelas) my feet were toasty. The sales lady said many police officers buy the black ones for working traffic and crowd control in the cold weather. So far I'm impressed with these boots.
