Head 25 km west of Slave and hang a right at the Canyon Creek entrance. Look out on the ice and you will see all the shacks. They are catching lots of walleye right there in roughly 30 feet of water...

The fishing in Assineau is also good it is another 5 km up the highway turn off at sign follow to train tracks turn left at bridge follow road turn right at second turn off.
The C.O's are checking for everthing at Canyon and Assineau.
Have a good day fishing.
ps. walleye biting on jig heads tipped with minnows fished of bottom.
