Mere Lake

Was out this AM and never had a bite, never saw a thing on the camera...Not even bugs. All dead again? Ran over to another perch lake I used to fish by Lac La Nonne... Nothing there either.. Winterkill of a few years ago must have totalled a lot of these lakes...wonder about Thunder??? It took a massive hit as well..Too far to go without info though.
A friend was out on Spring(Cottage) today though, and said he caught a ton of little trout and perch, and had one perch that was 11". IF I didn't know him better, I might think he was jesting, but he is a very honest fellow, so will believe him. He never keeps fish anyway, so has not a lot of reason to fib. Personally, I have never had a lot of success there.
Damn it is cold now...haha, but will try and get out to at least Star and Hasse in the next day or two.

Mere... Has, or sometimes has perch and pike.

I,ve wanted to try mere but been told there's no public access and the county map does not show any. Do you know someone on the lake or have I been miss informed about public access.
