My 89 GMC truck got stolen again for the 5 th time !
Why does he want it back is because ,it only has 160,000 k on it .

Called all the dealers and no one has one for sale with a 8 ft box .

So she is blue and silver and missing the tail gait .

You should try taking the keys out.

If your truck has been stolen 5 times already then you really need to work on some better security. Something like the the Club, a hidden kill switch or taking the keys of of the ignition.

That sucks JR, hope you get it back asap with no damage. Those year Gm's are like today's superdutys, smash the column and go. Fixed many Gm columns when I worked in the body shop.

Punks, hope they get hit by a car.

Not again. I thought this made #3. 5? John, when are you going to learn. I'll get you a "club" for Xmass. LOL Your ins. broker must be on speed dial. Let us know when you get it back. I know a cat has 9 lives, but I'm not sure how many times the same vehicle can get stolen. And this time you can't blame the "hood", because you have moved since last time.

Sorry to hear. Will keep eyes open. Picture and a plate number would help, I would print that out and carry in the car.

Weird, your last truck stolen thread was also the 5th time stolen.

Hope you find it back again.

My neighbors truck was stolen a few weeks ago and found 2 weeks later in Vernon BC. Even his company paperwork and cheque deposit book were still in the truck.

Someone just needed a ride home I guess. His daughter happened to be in Vancouver when it was found and flew to Vernon, reclaimed it and had the ignition switch replaced and drove it back home.

He was quite surprised to get it back.

Feel your pain. Just got my 94 back for the second time. Going to put a steel collar over the steering column this time. The kill switch isn't the answer for the old Chevys alone. They beat the steering column apart before they attempt to start it. And break a window first to get in. The steel steering column chevs are the Favorite target now days.

Anything you can do to stop people from stealing it again.
Five times is ridiculous.

A club can be disabled in 2 minutes, if a person has the right stuff. The other things I do not know about. But there are two kinds of people, one that puts an alarm on their vehicle and one that does not know how to work it. But if it helps, go for it. Oh by the way, what are you going to do to the person that takes it? shoot him, according to our gun laws you cain't do that. Beat him up? according to our laws you cain't do that. Call the Police they may see you in 30 mins or so. So what is the answer?

Five times is ridiculous.

Last 8 months I was using one of those Steering wheel bars.
That night the wife reminded me to put it on, as She noticed it off while watering her flowers at 9 pm.
I thought , what's the chance it getting it stollen.
Was I wrong !
Did not know the date was 911.

One of the other dates it was stolen was Friday 13 and a full moon and a payday !
Tow truck operator told me it was the busiest night he ever had.
It was stolen twice that day. It was found hours later ,then in front of the body shop ( cougar on yellowhead)they caught a drunk in it all over the road .

Everyone says the truck is bad luck !
I like to think it is Good luck !
As I got it back 5 times !

Its almost 30 years old , only repairs it really needed was brake jobs.
Truck is rust free .

Good news JR. Those old Gm's are nice dependable trucks and I'm a Ford guy saying that.

Just got news from the tow company.
It was found on the saddle Indian reserve .
He said he was looking on the drivers side and never seen a mint truck like that in years for its age no rust and had a good shine.
Walked around to the drivers side and said it was a wright off .
Said cab was pushed into the Box.

Looks like I am looking for another truck .

Ouch. Saddle lake. Someone needed a ride home.

FYI, it's probably as bad as you were told but it don't take much to write off them older ones. Maybe you will be able to repair it.

Sucks to lose the nice ones.

My '98 Ram was stolen for the 2nd time 3 mths. ago - key ignition pounded out. Found it 2 days ago (Sept15). Body damage to both rt. & left sides - donated to Kidney Foundation. "White male" thief known to police (video from "gas & dash"). Was told by an Officer that Calgary has 5 to 6 thousand vehicle thefts/yr. Unless there is someone injured, they don't look for the vehicle. And if caught & brought to court, charges usually don't stick (judicial system + defense lawyers).
