We'll be coming if it isn't planned between July 11th and July 26th.
If we plan this, we can reserve campsites there.

Hey jts1, I'm bringing this back to the top.
!!!!! PCR IS GONNA BE THE PLACE RIGHT !!!!!
But we need to have some discussion about the date.

Not everybody is going to be able to make it, so lets
try to pick a date that works good for the most people

How about this --- if your interested in coming out - post the dates you can
and can't make it out ( and yes I know that some people have done this already .... thank you ) we'll compile a list with the majority being the winner

For everyone that the date doesn't matter to -- put in a post saying
" whenever - I just wanna come out and have some fun " ( or some thing like that ) , just so we have an idea of how many people might show up.

We can make arrangements for cooking stuff ( food , bbq ...ect ) when we know how is gonna show.
How does that sound.......

Why don't you set it up as a poll and run it that way.

I'd like to make it out if I can, depending on the timing...I have a couple other trips to make next month but don't know exact dates for anything.

As a new fisherperson in Alberta I'd love to get out somewhere that I know I'll catch something, and it'd be great to meet some new people from the area.

If I do end up going, I can probably hook a couple people up with a ride with me from Edmonton

I am good for July 18, 19, 24, 25, and 26th. Are we planning on doing this from shore or should I plan on bringing the boat? If so, I would have room for 2 or 3 people.

Hopefully, we get enough pike for a fish fry....oh damn, I'm salivating already!

What about Little Bow Provincial Park? They have tons of big Pike and a number of keeper Walleye. I like PCR but there are not many big Walleye and just a few Pike.

They have a huge group camping area as well. If that is not open there is another first come campground closer to the Dam at Traver's.

I am game for either I just can't wait to meet everyone!

same here...I am Travers newest fan!

But I will leave it to the organizers of the event. Either way, I'm happy...I'll be fishing.

All right then it seems we have a crowd. Now we need the place. I like the idea of a poll. But we are not going to be able to make everyone happy on the date. PCR is a great little lake you will get lots of eyes but you can not keep any. Myself I am not looking to keep fish just have a good time with board members. I will make a note of all posted dates and try to come up with something tomorrow. Any members willing to help with equip and some of there time plz email me your contact info and what you are willing to offer. Or feel free to give me a call4035542621 Thanks to everyone and i am looking foward to this.

I am interested, maybe my lady will let me catch the biggest one this time, but I doubt it. Talk about creating fishing monsters !!

Default Sat july 18th

Out of everyone that has posted a date it seems that JULY 18TH everyone can make it Everyone but Fishingflower. Now I am sorry but there is no way everyones going to have the same day free. So I think that JULY 18th is about the best we are going to get. If this works please let me know. Then we can work on the grub and things. Once people are confirmed then I will talk to the campsite about sites , it is self registration so maybe a trip down there early to get the them is a good idea. Any suggestions or volunteers would be great. Thanks everyone.. Again feel free to call.... 403 554 2621.

Darn, I'll be doing a float trip down RDR on the 18th. PCR campsite has been filling fast from what people tell me on the Friday's so a bunch of you should try and get down early Friday or even go down on Thursday night to pitch a tent to reserve a spot. Hope everyone has a good time!

As a regular to PCR don't worry about not being any bigger fish. Yes the wallys are small but there are pike a plenty in there too. If you are patient some bigger ones. We have caught several in the 10 lb range and had a few and heard of others spooling off lines and breaking them. There are monsters in there too. For camping a lot of people come down on Wednesday or Thurday nights and drop off their units that is why it is usually full by Fridays. Most of the sites there are big enough that doubling up is possible on many as well. We will be camping down there the week of July 15-22 if anyone wants to come down or hoping we can get our gathering together that weekend.

Awesome! the 18th it is! I'm willing to help with whatever so let me know what you need. I was planning on tenting it for one night so if somone can reserve me a spot for a three man tent, that would be great. Should I bring a boat?

Have a great time all! I'll be pre-fishing the Angler - Young Angler event at Travers with my daughter and her Grandpa. I'm hoping she does even better than she did last year!
