Default an excellent Northern pike for the father-in-law

Made the trip yet again up to Utikama in search of walleye and big pike.

The day didn't disappoint - what we lacked in walleye ( only one 4 lber ) we made up for in pike, and my father-in-law Manuel hit the jackpot on this beauty of a gator!

She was just one ounce shy of 21 lbs, and just an excellent healthy fish

* if you are wondering about the third hand holding up the head, Manuel had a surgery on his left hand recently and just got his stitches out yesterday - he couldn't hold up the whole fish! *

Nope! I never have.
For being a "local" I am really bad at knowing any of the lakes north of me. Its an incredible area of wetland up there and I only ever got to Utik! I should venture around a bit more I guess.......
