Default Another great hunting video!! A must watch!

Bowhunter Donnie Vincent’s passion may perhaps change the way you think about hunting in this short “Who We Are” video from production company Sicmanta.

The cinematography is world class.

It makes me want to get back up to the north again!

Enjoy.

Seen this production of the Forum before and I'll say what I said before...awesome production, awesome message. Make's the redneckhillbilly junk on WildTV really look bad.

I do have one area I don't share with this fellow, and I believe with many Hunters. That is the food/meat thing. Here in AB we are blessed with some of the best beef in the world, and being a Meatatarian, that makes me very happy. If I gather Meat during my Hunts, that's just a bonus.

I Hunt simply because that's what I do. I fully believe the one point made in the video regarding our ancestors being hunters. Just as I believe all our ancestors were better 'warriors' than those who were vanquished, our ancestors knew how to provide for their families. That was accomplished through Hunting well before man/woman started the 'gathering/growing' thing.

Just my opinion, but I'm sticking to it.

Great video, forwarded it to my vegetarian niece.
I disagree though in that I can't stand beef! I can't imagine eating something that is raised standing in it's own crap! Wild meat all the way...

I'm very happy and proud of my boys who did this with Donnie. They guided and helped film this.

^^ Yes x 1000.

That was a great video. Production values and camera work was top notch as well as the message and image of hunters that they are portraying. We need people to see hunters as just not "indiscriminate killers" who are only out in the wilderness to shoot anything and everything but that there are lots of us who really treasure nature and love being outside in the wild. We are also fisherman, hikers, photographers and stewards of nature too.

I hunt because I am a hunter.- Finn Aagard

For an "old guy " at 47 that vid is the best representation of why I love to do what we do...
when some one asks ... it will be shared not to stick it in the "haters face" but to educate and explain better than I ever had the skills to do before when challenged on the subject.

Good stuff...
This made my day to watch...as the season comes to an end.

Cheers
Greg

I think this is an excellent video and depiction of why many of us do what we do....

Now if we can get new hunters to buy into this philosophy and emulate what Mr, Vincent does .....we are in good shape! Sadly we don't have these values and philosophies emulated in the mainstream media or many hunting productions...

I think if this short video makes you feel emotional and more passionate about the outdoors then you have the correct attitude and if you can pass that attitude onto a new hunter(s) then they will have a good foundation to be ambassadors to the outdoors and hunting.

It's not really about adding bones.....

Great video - thanks!!!

Thousands of years of our family hunting is being wiped out by tens of years of Costco.

from this video
"one mans quest to take an animals life, our passion that should bring us closer together as hunters is slowly starting to drive us apart. while we bristle at the idea of our sport under attack from activists from the outside the real threat to our hunting tradition comes from within. from groups of hunters failing so miserably to understand the basic union we share. that regardless of weapon choice, antler size or any of the countless measures of success we impose on each other we are all hunting for the exact same thing."

that is a great quote!! i will be doing my best to remember this quote next time i think to judge or ridicule another hunter on that persons gear choice or style of hunting that is not what i agree on.
