Default Storing smoked fish

I am gonna smoke up about whitefish 20 fillets next weekend. Obviously that's more then we are going to eat in a few days, so what's the preferred method of long term storage after smoking. I was thinking of vacuum sealing and then freezing. Is there a significant reduction in quality though after being thawed back out? My experience smoking fish is limited.

Hi Wes! Freezing your fully cooked and smoked fish shouldn't have any ill effects on its' quality in my experience.

That's what I do with my sockeye and no complaints yet.

Yup, I wrap it in some wax paper and vacuum seal, it keeps good.

Try to dampen off as much of the fish oils before you vac seal. The oils and fats will taint the soonest. Not sure how long vac sealed. Maybe several months. 20 smoked fillets wouldn't last more than a month for me. Better than popcorn or chips for a treat.
