2011 pheasant dog training

Been a good year for raising pheasants despite the rain so we have over 500 training birds ready for before opening of regular pheasant season October 15th.

We expect to open the shooting preserve between September 5th and 15th and will run a dog training special with a minimum of 10 birds self plant for training purposes if straight run of hens and roosters can be utilized. We can train 7 days a week this fall as I am on hunting leave from the store. The cover on our quarter is as thick as it has ever been with all the rain.

We added meat pheasants to the menu this year for strictly the carnavore crowd and the jumbos imported will dress out at 4 pounds (DIY clean and pluck)in time for Thanksgiving.
Not good for dog training but great for the family where a turkey is too much meat for 2 or 3 people.

Forgot prices as mix of straight run pheasants (hens and roosters) $20. per bird
All hens $18. (hold better for training)
Also have over 100 chukar partridge for pointer training and they wil be $15. each
