Default Fly Fishing for Perch

I haven't read about anybody fly fishing for perch. It makes logical sense but has anyone ever tried? Any success?

I am planning on going to Pigeon Lake this weekend and was thinking of giving this a try.

Thanks for your help.

Its a great idea, sadly you will be fishing along time to catch a perch over a couple inches at Pigeon.
Let us know how you make out.

Thanks for the help.

We will be fishing for walleye for part of the day but I will get some perch opportunities.

If anyone has anymore tips for perch(or walleye) at Pigeon I would appreciate it.

I will update on how everything goes on Sunday.

Small leech pattern (Black 4 me). Sink tip or split shot. Slow retrieve, dead drift.
Fun. Fun. Fun.

I got shut out. The group I went with only wanted walleye, which is fine. There were a total of four caught.

My casting improved a lot and I never tried a sinking line before. Kids (4&8) had a great time.

The algae was really bad. I think we only caught fish because a hook hit them on the head. Looking forward to getting out again in September.

Thanks, again, for the advice.
