Default Swapping out a Transmission.

I can get a '01 Chevy Blazer very cheap and in great shape but the tranny is cooked , how hard is it to replace one in these newer vehicles? I've done them in the older trucks.
Or should I leave it for the professionals.

Most electronic gizmo's are internal ............. just a plug or 2 outside !!! ........... The cursing comes from tighter fit in newer vehicles !!!

just take a digital camera and take alot of pictures first. Then if you can't remember where that little black wire went you can look it up on one of your pictures. I now take pictures of most things I take apart because who knows when you will get them back together. Also check a manual for any warnings and suggestions. A truck hoist and a tranny jack sure makes it alot easier.

the only difference in transmissions from then to now is they have some wires running to them. unplug and plug back in and you're set.

Isn't the transmission cooler in the rad in those? Seen one that had coolant in the transmission fluid because the cooler was pooched in the rad. Much $$ to fix for him. Would hate to see someone put a new/used transmission in and have it crap out because the cooler was cooked. Have fun
