Default Good perch day yesterday

Here is a few pictures from our day out on the ice yesterday.

We were into the perch non stop for the whole morning before deciding to pack up and call it a day around 1pm after keeping a bunch and letting way more swim free to catch another day.

The 2 that I am holding were both measured in at just over 12.5" which isn't the biggest perch out there but sure beats catching 6" perch.

I don't eat fish but every once and awhile keep some for the wife's grandparents. They called me tonight to say they had some of the perch for dinner tonight and it was delicious.

I usually try to keep a few for them every month or 2 and they really enjoy it.

Fire me a message and I can let you know what we were doing. I may try and get out there on the weekend also. Hopefully the fish are still there.

Get out an explore and they can be found.

It isn't a secret lake by any means. The day I was there it was pretty slow for people with only about a dozen or so groups on the ice but the time before that it looked like a town out on the ice. With the crappy action I had that day I should have set up a little restaurant shack and sold burgers and hot dogs.

Going out and finding them is all the work my friend and a great time also. I just got a buddy into ice fishing and he out fished me this past weekend and we were off the ice before noon. we had a hoot of a blast while doing so.

For catching perch is it all in the style you fish. I never thought of selling burgers and hotdogs. If you don't forget the re-fryed beans. I love them.

I ended up getting out again today for the perch bite. The action wasn't as steady but the average size was quite a bit bigger.

If I was keeping fish I could have kept a limit of 11-12" perch with one 13" thrown in the mix. It was a really good day for getting some bigger perch.

Downsize what you are using.

They have been pretty picky the last couple of trips but once I figured out the colors that were working it was game on.
