Default Car Acquire?

Put my truck for sale the other day on Kijiji and the only action i have recieved is from a company called "Car Acquire." They claim to be able to sell my truck in under 90 days or money back guarantee. Cost to me is $499. Scam? I didnt send money but I am very curious to see if anyone out there has any stories about this company. Thanks for your help.

scam. one of the people i work with fell victim to this (not the sharpest crayola in the shed). they took his money, he tried to get it back, dead end, still hasn't sold his truck after maybe 7 months now.

I went along with it until I got his info:

Name: John Maslow
Add: 3 Kirkham Road, England
City: London,
Post Code: E6 5RY,
Country: United Kingdom.

I knew it was a scam from the begining, they ask you to send them money through western union. Sent that info to kijiji, hope they do something about it..

It just goes to show what these Car Acquire idiots think of the general population's gullibility level when they pop on here as one-post wonders exclaiming what a great business they are. Common Fool indeed

Tell them your trucks already sold but you could use some help unloading a bridge.

Great mechanical shape. body in great shape as well. i have no problems saying it is in great shape. Im selling it and upgrading to a 2500. Need to pull a trailer. So make me an offer.

If they call you back, tell them you accept their offer, but you need cab fare to get to Western union so could they wire you $50.

Not saying yours is too high. But im kinda looking to upgrade so i frequent Kijiji regularly. Im not surprised how many trucks are still on the for sale list months and months in a row. How some of these folks think a truck with close to 300000klms will sell for what most think its worth is scarey. I cant believe the prices people want. But this is truck country i guess. My first rant on here.

I fell for one of these when i was selling my boat out in BC. He called and said he had a guy willing to pay full price, i also had one guy who was on the fence, told him if they didn't sell it by the weekend i would sell to this other guy.
Well of course their deal did not happen and sold it myself.
I tracked all my emails and phone calls and at 30 days told them if i did not get my money back i was filing a fraud case with Visa who it was paid through.
Cut to the chase, Visa gave me my money and said they were then going after them as i had tracked all my proof. This might help some of you others.
Lesson: If it sounds too good to be true, IT IS.
