Default Renting lapping tool in Calgary???

Hey Guys,

I was wondering if anyone would be willing to rent me their wheeler lapping and alignment tool? I don't want to purchase one as i only plan on having one hunting rifle and i cannot justify spending hte time on a lathe making alignment tools either.

I would be happy to pay some money to rent a tool locally, leave a deposit or bring the rifle over to your place and use the tool on site.

Thanks alot guys,

Located in Calgary, willing to drive 30 minutes any direction outside the city.

Adrian

Get a 1 inch dowel and 220 grit paper. It will do the same thing amd way less money.

Is this for lapping scope mounts? I would use a one inch piece of cold rolled steel and some lapping compound.

what about the alignment of the two bases and mounts?

I am running a x-bolt with talleys mounts.

I just want to make sure i do this right and only once. Worst case scenario i go out and make alignment tools and buy so 1" cold rolled steel....but renting a tool would be easier.

I have one you could use. The drive is a little farther than 30 mins though.

No need for an alignment tool with Talleys...you just need a lapping bar.

IR Mike and 209x50. Thank you very much for the offers and i am sure some other members will take you up on your kindness...hopefully someone closer to home will chime in sooner or later.

PS: I have watched alot of outdorr quest on youtube and i like your show.

Tchardy1972, if no one else nearby has one i might make a trip up to drumhellar and go to the Tyrell while i am there. I will let you know if no one else local offers.
