Does anyone know how to make Google the homepage? Yes I've tried the obvious options of clicking on the little house and selecting google as my homepage and going into the tools,internet options, general and selecting the homepage but it always resets to "about:blank" Its driving me bonkers!

oh good old internet explorer... if you're having that many problems, you may have some spyware or a virus.

First of all, get a better browser here:
http://mozilla.com - download and install it.

Second, download malwarebytes, install and run. it's a good standalone virus scanner.

yes, it's a freebie but watch when you're installing it, it'll ask you to upgrade to pro at some point.
