Default Scenery, a fish, a fish story, and a thank-you!

Was able to get out fishing last night with a fellow member from the deep South....

Was really nice to get out and see some different country....

Managed to hook into a real nice cuttie! he put up a good fight ran out my drag and became airbourne a couple times....over 12 inches but no specifics cause the photo cops will be all over me

Ran into this "fisherman guy" down there.....

Now for the story....(wish I had a pic of it!)

Was casting a little bit into this pool and the guy I was with had mentioned there had to be a bull trout lingering down there.....so as we are bs'ing....this HOG of a bull comes up out of the hole and slams my hook....only thing is he never grabbed the hook! It had to have been a 25+ inch fish....we were thinking in the 6-7 lbs range. I wish I had a pic of that bad boy to share!

So anyhow I wanted to say thanks to "the fisherman guy" who took me out on a bit of a road trip to see some different country and get into some fish I don't normally have a chance to target.

Good times on the river, was neat to see that Bull come up and smack your lure. That really is a beauty place. It’s a shame about all the garbage littering the banks.

We'll have to get out again when you are in town next, good times Lefty, thanks.

We might have inadvertently started the AO Calgary Wing night...

I think a shot of penicillin will take care of that, won't it?

Such a nice area, thanks for the pics, its sad that most of that garbage comes from jag-offs posing as fishermen...

You got that right, it is the job which never ends. However, going down there the first time this year it was pretty littered. After a couple of trips, and taking a little bit of trash out with me when I leave each time, I was pleased to see that when I went out there again last night, all the places which had garbage in them earlier, are now clean and natural. The way it is supposed to be.

A little victory!

Thanks for stepping up and righting a few wrongs committed by disrespectful grown @$$ people whom mistakenly consider themselves to be actual outdoorsmen(or women)...

Well considering where this spot was it amazed me that people would leave trash behind there....you would think only serious fisherman would target that area....BUT that being said TFG found a "hopper dropper" set up with 2 barbed hooks on it, and considering the entire area is strictly C&R....sadly the idiots are among the good folks!

Thumbs up

Beautiful country, beautiful fish.
Too bad you didn't get a hook into that bull, Lefty.
Sure would have liked to join you fellas, but I was out in Vernon with the family.
No fishing, but I'll make up for it this week....
