shore fishing near cochrane

Hi I've been trying to set up a trip for a long time and I was curious about a few lakes like Westover and Darnell which are right around ghost and was wondering if anyone has ever fished them and what they're like also I was wondering if those don't work where is a decently close place around Cochrane to fish for either Walleye or Pike from shore.

You're probably looking at a 30min drive to get pike and an hour to get walleye.
