Pm sent

Save yourself minimum 30% by hiring the tradesman direct rather than a drywall contractor

Prices vary depending on where u are located...
Calgary u can get a tradesman for cheap but look to pay more the more north u go hope this helps

Pm me for more info as price will vary based on corner beads used and ceiling finish you select

Yes just in the process of putting a new roof on and materials and labor it's working out to about .55cents a sq foot.

Ok so it seems there are quite a few people interested in pricing and since I have no loyalties to any drywall contractor here it is:

BUILDERS: if you are contracting out a local drywall company consider this

Drywall contractors charge you 30-50% on top of each bill submitted to them from their sub-contractors

And what do they provide you? A board count? Insul count?
All the overhead of safety guys, repair guys, superintendents.....
As is with the builder I work for, a simple transition of hiring the trades direct provides many benefits including
-$...... More money in the builders pockets and more money in the tradesmens pockets
- repairs..... You are now dealing direct with the responsible party
- middlemen.... Cut them out!! U already have the supers to manage now u just need to learn to count drywall

Basically u can save a bundle of money hiring direct and less stress! Ask yourself what is your drywall contractor providing you for that 30-50% markup?

I'm sure I'll take flack from guys in the industry for this but the facts are simple
" drywall contractors gouge the builder on prices then turn around and Jew their trades for every penny earned"

This bring said there is a transition period invoking some education and provided the tradesmen u use is equally as crucial!

Be cautious though the drywall industry is fullllll of loosers drunks and druggies

For all you people doing private jobs:
Your taping prices will vary depending on where u live and the job in question
Ceiling finish and style of house can fluctuate the price but typical pricing is as follows:0.25-0.35 per board foot( not sqft! This is feet of board ordered and can be obtained from the supplier the board is orders from)
And 1.5-2.5/ linear foot of corner bead to be applied
Round bead is more $ than square... Painted ceilings are more $ then textured
Textured ceilings and finish sanding are extra charges on top of this
Any touchups required before finish paint is also extra $

Private jobs are most accurately priced by physically viewing job

Hope this helps you guys out a bit and like u previously stated if you have any questions don't hesitate to throw me a pm

advise is free
