Nice walleye for sure.

So seriously the CO's were out to check and make sure people were stopping fishing at sunset? That's the first time I've ever heard of them doing that.

Nice fish!! That sunset rule sounds brutal. Most my fishing for walleye is through the nite! I tagged a 26 incher this year, it went a little beter than 6 pounds, Buddy tagged a 28 incher didn't quite make 8 pounds (still waiting for copies of the pictures) I also caught and released one at 29.75inches. I'm guessing you released that eye, I don't weigh fish that are being released but there are sites around that have weight calculators, you just need a length and a girth. I think the gowalleye site has a calculator if your interested in getting a rough idea without being rough on the fish . Nice catch, thanks for posting the pic. Tight lines.

We tried the canal last nite didnt get anything couple bites is all. Sunrise sunset rules what a bunch BS lots times only chance to go fishing the last hr of light. What does it actually accomplish? Sunset at 9:30pm

Great looking walleye, never gotten one out of McGregor. Monster pike in McGregor are under the bridge.

Nice to hear a CO was out there...never seen one myself at McGregor but I've seen some questionable fishermen!
