Um not too sure if I am right on this or not but I recall if you shoot and animal with this bow it would not qualifiy for pope and young record book. FYI

Neat concept I would be curious as to the easy of shooting ....how much would tourqe be amplified?.... how stable will it be?.... left / right wabble?

Shot one a couple years ago, and my buddy has one. He loves it, and I will admit it was fun to shoot ( slingshot on roids ).

I think it came down to the fair chase part of it, I think they were worried people would try to use them out of vehicles. That is what I was told.

then i guess i am hooped. I have a PSE X-Force SS, I thought that it wouldnt qualify because the bow had a higher let-off then 65%.

I thought the let off percentage limit was 80?

There was some discussion as to the 30" limit being ATA or overall. If you include the total length including cams, the SS will squeak into the 30" limit.

I am not 100% on the outcome of that ruling.

Kindda a cool looking little weapon!

Years ago, I was pretty heavily involved in the mountain biking scene when they first introduced 'Rock Shox' (front suspension). It changed the industry, and the imbracement of technology was incredible to watch. So much knowledge was crossed over from motocross to develop some pretty wild looking and performing bikes. Some concepts worked, some did not. It is at the point where both industries are pushing each other to come up with the perfect setup. Everyone has benefited.

I only mention this, as the archery industry seems to be falling into the same techno race. The sky's the limit in terms of imagination and engineering. Everyone is trying to outdo each other in the quest for the magic bow. Cool! In the end, it is the users who will benefit.

Pope and Young is going to have to recognize this and adapt, otherwise they will become irrelevant. Technology is our friend, I believe.

I agree with Treeguy.. I would like to see this bow or a shorter than 30" get a world record and then watch them deny the entry.
Its strange rules because a longer ATA has a more stable sight. Maybe they should deny target bows also. I know my bow needed a 12" stab on it to hold the pins on target and its 30.5".
Besides all that it is an interesting bow and looks like a blast to shoot. I wonder how it performs over 40yrd's.

Records have been denied becuase of the let off, I see no reason to waffle on that thang - not that I give a ratt's azz one way or the other....
