Default fishing east of grand prairie?

I guess it's a little early to start thinking about summer fishing but I was wondering what the fishing is like at some of the lakes and streams east of G.P. near the B.C. border. I can't seem to find much in that area. I am thinking of spending a weekend there this summer so camping ideas would also be helpful!
Thanx

Island lake near swan lake has produced some big trout. Not sure what your after but if your after walleye and pike swan lake is good as well. They are both fairly close together. But if you want trout streams then Tumbler Ridge area has some good streams for fly fishing.
