Default 33 inch bull trout

My dad caught this one around the blackstone area, we used a tape measure and measured it around 33 inches.

Yes I agree it was not the best way to hold it, I guess he was just really excited and just wanted to show us how big it was.

I do have to speak up on this one, this is bad fish handling, the gills are a delicate structure that should not be touched. I men no disrespect whatsoever but the trout should also be respected. My dad taught me that 50 years ago.

I caught some really nice ones in northern bc where you can keep them. Man oh man bright orange like a salmon and very tasty. Scrappy fish. I will post pics sometime. Caught them on huge blue fox spinners on a ultralight in lake ( still deep water).. what a battle

X3 Sorry, I understand your Dad is from another generation and era, but handling a protected fish that way is not cool and most likely resulted in its death. It you were taking the picture, and you didn't educate him otherwise, you're also responsible.

Default My prediction ...

I congratulate the admin for trying to bring some sanity to the forum...

I predict a fish pic famine in our future.....one post "suggesting" proper

Support for fish pics and hasty return to the water ...or better yet...

Stay in the net in the water.....for pic...one post ....

I particularly like the rant preceded by apology .....that makes it better ..

I wonder if a 15 post banning could set a new record...
