I ice fish for them using #12-14 wireworms tipped with a maggot or simple gold hooks on pickeral rig with maggot. In summer i seem to catch them on drys or small nymphs anywhere i try, not many guys target them. I've caught a couple on small spoons.

I catch a lot of them in the Bow river. Most effective fly for me is a size 14 brown drake dry fly. Also get them on a size 12 white, copper ribbed san juan worm.

red deer river, flyfishing using a sink tip, and split shot to get a BH Prince Nymph or TNT Nymph down tickling the bottom. Sizes 14 and 16. Or on dries in spring time when they are rising around penhold

Also like the LSR, and they will hit anything that comes in front of thier face, mainly catch them by accident while nymphing for Grayling when there is no surface activity.

Mcleod also produces some nice ones, plus side is the water is colder, so they are tastier
