Default How big of tires can u put an a jeep wrangler

Just wondering what the biggest tire is that you can put on a jeep wrangler sport without putting in a lift kit or changing the wheel offset.

Tj, 31", yj, 30"

If you build it right though, 3.5-4.5" long arm, metal cloak fenders, and 39's with Dana 60's is a good start lol.

Rubicons came stock with 31" tires.

Ya, 31's, once you get up to 35's on a yj or TJ you will start breaking things, at least the rubicon has a bit more beef under them and E-lockers.

I was told when I bought mine, you can go to 31'. Put a 2 inch levelling kit and its 33' Join the ABJK forum on the net, or Edmonton Jeep Club on facebook.

Thanks

I think 265/70/17 but don't hold me to that.
I have stock 255/70/17 on my jk now and plan on going to the 265.

I was hoping that I could put 35's on without a lift kit. Will a 2" lift be enough to put 35's on and what's a lift $ cost.

I have a 4 inch lift with my 35's. as well as wheel spacers. I think they are 1.5 inch wide. Stock rims, 12.5 inch wide tires. I don't think you can go much over 32 without a lift or levelling kit.

Cost of lift depends greatly on the type and quality you choose.

Hope that helps

Do some research...thats where I am at right now with my 2013 JKUR...If you like the factory ride then a budget boost(spacers) may be your thing...about $200 for those kits..However the install will be the equivalent time as a basic 1.5"/2" coil spring lift...Thats where more cash gets you into much nicer progressive rate springs, shocks, etc..On my previous TJ I installed an Old Man Emu 2" system...OME is considered the finest ride youll get and it was plush...Im at the point where if the lift I choose ends up not as nice as the OME I will be dissappointed in that expense!...And the new pentastars have exhaust and front driveshaft issues/expenses once you start getting past 3 inches or so...

Default 2013 JKU Sahara

We love our JEEP! What an awesome time!

You could technically fir 33" tires but there will be some rubbing off-road for sure and maybe a little on the road when trying to turn sharp. Do a 1" level kit on the front and 33" is totally doable plus would get rid of some of the rake. If you want 35's you need a MINIMUM 3" lift.

Check out ABJK, CJA or Jeep Junkies forums and there is tonnes of posted info. My handle on JJ is JeepGSD let me know if you join up!
