Default Sommething worthwile to post- shot maker

Howdy!
I figured this would be somethoing worthwhile to post , what with the crazy prices concernig shot these days.

I tis a bit labour intensive, but worth it in the end, especially if you cannot get shot at any price!
Scrap wheel weights, lino type, lead, whatever.
Smelt it into ingots, put it in the shot maker, then watch it go to work!

After the coolant is drained off, the shot is dried on a black tarp, and you do not need to graphite it or tumble it( although most say it works better)

50 minutes will give you about 25pounds of shot.

I have a shot maker also. I love the damn thing. I made 250lbs of shot in 5-6 hours. For about 100$. It doesn't make the best shot but it's great for what I use it for. Which is gong shooting during CAS matches!

Thanks for the welcome back.
I noticed a few have left, some on their own, others had help.
I thought that this was a worthwhile thing to post so figured "'what the heck"!
Not sure of this video will come up but will try it anyway
BTW the coolant is straight RV antifreeze.
Here's what it looks like right out of the coolant when i held a spoon under one of the nozzles.

The temp and alloy will change the size a little bit but the nozzles are interchangeable for any size pretty much.

Welcome back, old mate, I have 500lbs of lead here, if you want it, cost you a couple bags 7.5-8 in return.
I been meaning to get a shot maker for a year or five, won't get done this year either. looked electric, 110 volt? how long till it heats up,
on second thought, if you doing another batch, can I come over and check it out ?

You could have posted a review of an easy bake oven and we'd all be glad to see it.
Thanks for coming back!
