Hey gunslinger...things are good here at the beer plant. I must say I am jealous of the elk you and your buddy got at the suffield base, but glad to see someone I know get one of those badboys...congrats. I still have not decided if I am going for the turkey season that I got drawn for or not. I though $50 deer steaks were bad enough, but a $500 turkey??!!?? I just bought a new truck. I traded my old 99 Dodge 4x4 for a 2008 F250 Ford King Ranch with a V10. Just a bit of a step up! I love it, but a bit of a pig on gas, but alright with a 4 minute drive to work. How are things with you?

The first 6 are behind the motel at the top of the hill in Golden BC (I seen a large group there about 10 yrs ago and they are still hanging around...cool). The last 2 pics are between Hinton and Jasper along the hiway.

Ok so I'm no sheep expert and have never hunted bighorns......but if I am correct, that second ram picture should be a legal "trophy ram" right? Not sure if I am doing this right but......is this right? The line passes its eye.

Yes it's right. If you go to page 38 of the hunting regulations book (in the top left hand corner) this is exactly about the same picture.

Not a chance on the photoshop at all. If you have ever been to that motel, at the back parking lot there is a looped chain fence there. I walked right up to the fence and they were maybe at the most 15 - 20 feet away from me and with a zoom camera and 8 megapixels, it made for some very easy and nice close up pictures. To the west about 100 yards was a rafting company and the two guides (with about 20 rafters) were yelling at me that those are wild animals and dangerous. Boy was I scared...NOT!. But after looking at the close-up pictures you can definitely see that look in his eye that he wants a piece of me.....oh well gotta go sometime!!! LOL

Giving u a hard time moose.....seems u can't post anything here with out that comment coming up!!!!!! Was going to go on to say that it's winter, so all that greenery would have been photoshopped in. And then back it up with there being no bighorns around Alix. Damn critics, anyway...................
They are great shots! Nice to see that one ram.
But now that I look closer, that ram looks bigger than it should compared to the bushes...............................

Hey whitetail........no problem on the hard time. If you ever go there you will be extremely impressed once you've seen these rams. The pictures were taken the first week in August when my family went through there on holidays. Yes it was behind the Grizzly Restauraunt at the top of the hill. Whitetail.........don't get jealous that my horn is bigger than yours!!! LOL

Years ago we used to see them licking the hiway but was disaoppointed not to see them. My kids (5 and 6 yrs) were looking forward to seeing them, but we were glad to see them so close in Golden.

That ram in post #22 is the one that died last spring at Cadomin. He was 211 then and ended up at 208.
