Looking for a person

l am looking for a woman l havent seen in over 40 years , and just a thought than just maybe, someone here might know her , either as a friend or even her child could be a member here.
Her name is Diane Young (maiden name) she has a sister named Yvonne , her Dads name was Dennis l believe , and she lived on southland drive SW , just off of elbow drive.
She would be in her 60tys now , and has a birthmark on the upper back of one of her legs above the knee .

In certain circles a request like that could be misconstrued.

I would suggest facebook, photobucket, google. Just throwing out a random name to possibly thousands of people in a public forum, or maybe hundreds of thousands in many forums, could fall under the idea of cyber stalking. If you search her name, this forum and your thread will come up, and you have publicly given information on her.

Other than that, enlist the services of a Company that does skip tracing, but whatever you do, cover your tracks, do everything above board and legally.

Just a friendly warning.

If his original post is cyber stalking then Canada 411 is an invasion of privacy.

I don't think those guys were looking for a fight Bud, in fact I think that they were being rather nice by giving you a heads up. Like others mentioned, why don't you try Facebook, although it's not typical for people in her age group to frequent such websites. Good luck on your search.

All humor aside, the rule that you can't go home anymore, applies here. Granted you could find her, given a probable name change, re-location, or even death, she might be less than thrilled to hear from you again. My wife heard from her birth father under similar circumstances and her first thought was, what does this guy want from me? After that length of time, there was no commonality and though she learned a few interesting facts about her half siblings, he was just a lonely old man and she let it go at that.

Chrisht! I wish I had a nickel for every time I've seen a newspaper ad like that. Bud sounds very genuine to me. Some of us dare to live dangerously.

I had been in close contact with a lady friend for about 25+ years. Had a phone call from her and was waiting for a call in a few days.

No call.

Tried every way I knew how to get in touch, even drove up to Dawson to try and find her, as it was out of character for her to go MIA.

No luck.

Had thought of asking on forums like this one....but seeing the replies will not do so.

Hope you find your friend. I miss mine.

This is the second post where I have seen you calling people idiots, one it's uncalled for, two it's very imature. Everyone has there own opinions but there is no reason for name calling and derogatory comments.

I had an old friend find me after almost 10 years of searching for each other. It was one of the happiest moments I can remember, and we have been in close contact ever since.

If your intentions are true, BUD, and I'm sure they are, I hope you find her, and I wish you the best of luck.

Well its not a big issue , just was thinking about her last week , the thought of asking if anyone knew her here crossed my mind and , so l asked , a shot in the dark , but its ok.

Doesn't the phone book post this information as well? If you have nothing constructive to add to his request, just STFU. My birth mother found me after 40 years and I was glad to see her. She died 2 months later from cancer. I hope you find your friend bud.
