Default Cabin in the mountains for rent

My wife has expressed interest in spending Christmas in the mountains this year. We would like to find something that is somewhat secluded (not downtown Banff/jasper), and pet friendly. It would also have to be within a days drive from Edmonton. Does anyone know of anything or even the best website to find something like this? Would be open to anything in Alberta/BC or possibly stateside that meets the requirements. Thanks in advance.

you wanna go state side?

theres a small cabin i rent about 10 minutes outside of whitefish. pretty remote and feels liek your in the middle of nowhere.
owners live on the property about 500 yards away.
got sheep, sheep dogs, and chickens roaming around everywhere.

its small tho, so more than one kid is no good.

pm me if you want the details.

There are a ton of what you are looking for on AirBNB and VRBO. They list a large number of privately owned homes available for short term rent in the mountains in Alberta and BC. Just put in the search parameters and you will have more choices than you know what to do with.

This will be the third year we have gone here http://www.oldentrance.ab.ca/
We always rent the Gray Cabin http://www.oldentrance.ab.ca/accommodations.html
No more expensive than a Super 8 motel...about $140/night

Default Goldenwood Lodge

Beautiful property and run by a great couple. It is 25min. drive into Golden which is a lovely mountain town with recreation opportunities and good restaurants.
