Default Grizz attacks truck

Interesting news yesterday, mother grizz attacked new pick-up truck near Cremona/Calgary. Getting very dangerous when grizz where they have never been for 100+ years are now going after family in pick-up truck.

Those in the woods know the population is growing fast. Those in the gov and those with an GB agenda, deny it is happening. More aggressive encounters will happen and some will have tragic consequences soon enough and then what will the powers that be say.

Google Grizzly Bear wake up. Old 60's video of a grizz waking up from a tagging and it is not happy. Love the dent it puts in the car door and they built them tough then. It is one of my favorite vids.

That was in Water Valley near my place. I had a grizz in my front yard just a couple weeks ago and my neighbour had a mama with 2 cubs 3 times now. He has two little kids so he is on F&W to try and get them to deal with it.

Could be they're happening already.

I know of some that happened and I saw the paws. That being said I attended that particular ranchers funeral around 2009 or 2010 so what’s done is done.

Has he tried to call Jason Nixon yet? If I was him, I'd be calling his office at least 3 times a day everyday until F&W showed up with either live traps or lethal force!

Could be? If it happens in other areas like it does in some I know, the number might surprise you.

Hunters are still going to be in the prime bear areas. As bear numbers grow, so will the shootings.

Is this anywhere near Winchell Lake? Planned on going fishing there this weekend but I'd rather not walk into those bears.

Hate to tell you this, it's Bear Country. No doubt you'll pass signs informing you of that. They can be anywhere and either species, had a Black on my quarter just a couple of weeks ago. This is the place to find recent sightings. Note July 29.

I know they can be everywhere, but I thought if that's an area they're in I'll definitely avoid it until they moved on or got moved. Heard there is also a sow and cubs that killed cattle near Water Valley, wonder if they are the same, heard they're North of WV.

Grizzlies can do some MAJOR damage, as in TOTALLY destroying a vehicle.

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=m-yGDXHftp0&t=59s

Can't remember what channel but recently I watched a show where they had a Grizz rip apart a car on purpose, WOW! Ripped the dash right out and the interior down the the metal frame. Just amazing their destructive power.

Just being in a vehicle with the windows up is certainly not a safe place to be.

I live 2 mile from Winchell Lake - we've had a young grizzly hanging in the area all spring/summer

When I go to Winchell lake, I tell myself this is where the bears live. Very common for sightings to occur. When I did a reno there, the rifle leaned against the truck while I was working. People I worked for claimed they'd never seen a bear. Bear Smart says big Prairie road, actually closer to Winchell lake than Water Valley. You live here, you get used to it,

I fish in that area a lot and keep my ears to ground and from what I am hearing there are 6-11 grizzlys in the area, adults and cubs.

It's funny how lots of people think of Grizzlies as mountain animals but I've seen and heard of more grizzly in foothills than in the mountains.

All the fishing I've done on the ram river, I've never even seen a track.

Now go to the Clearwater where things flatten out and there is lots more.

We've pushed them back, funny how people are shocked as to where we are seeing them now.

Huh ? There was a confirmed Grizzly sighting in that area, at the time and cabin owners were leaving garbage accessible. Only prudent.

Default B C Grizzly Bear

The B C Grizzly Bear attack did not take place on Vancouver Island. It took place North of Powell River which is on the mainland.
