Default Another Slayer

With the warmer weather today we decided to take my girlfriend ice fishing for her first time out. She was a little worried when we drove out onto the ice but she soon forgot about her fears when she was into the fish.

She was also quite addicted to my Aqua-Vu camera and it helped all of us today. The fish were being picky taking micro jigs bounced off the bottom. We did catch some fish but best of all I think I got her hooked (no pun intended) into a new hobby.

Lowering the Bait

The Slayer watching the camera for her next victim

Sam's haul after about half an hour

When she would go to the truck to warm up I took over

Watching them outsmart us as the Slayer warmed up in the truck

We had her convinced she had to kiss the fish until it started shaking on the hook.

Last one of the day

I still enjoy fishing without the gadget but I find it keeps the new comers and kids occupied even if they are not catching fish. Just seeing the fish on there looking at their hooks keeps their interest.

Today it came in handy with the medium action rods, new 4lb mono, and marmish jigs. Made it hard to feel the bottom with the new line and such lite tackle.

Thanks for the compliments guys. She is already talking about going to the mountains for trout this weekend.

way to go, fishing pusher got my wife hooked too last year, now she usually outfishes me . Nice perch there, I just had a batch for supper
I am very impressed with my Marmish rod, they work great, dont even need a camera to feel them bite.

Nice perch ryan. May have to make a trip out there this coming weekend if this kid finally shows up this week. The due date is wed. so I am hoping I can start making fishing plans by the weekend again. Were you of the boat launch, east end damn, west end or Just west of the boat launch? Good to see that lake is fishing decent unlike earlier reports this season.
