Default Edmonton Outdoor Show & Sale

I'm wondering if anyone from Calgary has attended the Edmonton Outdoor Show & Sale in the past.

Details can be read here: https://www.thefishinhole.com/index....ing_events.cfm

Someone told me that some of TFH's best deals of the year are at that event, which has no Calgary counterpart. As I'll be purchasing two pretty big ticket items ($1300-$1400 bucks worth) from them in the next little while, I'm thinking it might be worth heading up there.

I figure I'd have to save at least 25% (but ideally closer to 40%) to make it worth my time. Are the deals good enough to make it worth spending six hours driving in one day?

They do have some good sales, I know I bought a rod and reel combo at 70% off. They also had a ton of tackle for sale cheap. I cant really say if there were any deals on the larger ticket items but Im sure there will be. I would imagine they will have lots of ice fishing gear on sale to make room for open water season. Ill send you a PM as well that may help

me and my oldest daughter do this show as a Daddy / Daughter thing as often as possible; the deals are pretty good --- we always come home with more than we were looking for

That's good to know. One of the things I want to pick up is a transom mount motor (in addition to a sonar/gps/chartmaker). While I do have specific models of both firmly in mind, I'm willing to be flexible. Since you made the trip from Calgary, you'll have a good idea what constitutes making the drive worth it.

Would it be okay to wait for the Friday and be there at noon (when the doors open on Friday)? I only work four days a week right now, and I've got Fridays off.

Some good saving to be found there for sure. Best of luck to you and I hope you find what you're looking for at a sweet price
