what does a P&Y moose & elk look like?
just curious, have not spent time chasing either one much and curious what either might look like around the p&y minimums? what are the p&y minimums? pictures would be awesome if anyone has any?

Elk minimum is 260 and Canada Moose minimum is 135.
A big and fairly evenly matched 5X5 Elk will have a chance as will a reasonably well palmed Moose around the 40" mark.
265" Elk
142" Moose

I think Huntinstuff means due to the rifle being used.

That's correct.....I was referring to the size of the moose ....ignore the rifle..... my client didn't want it scored but I know it wasn't enough for the book.
Wait until Lee Lakosky has his moose hunt with us aired this fall on "The Crush"......That one is P&Y

Alaska-Yukon Moose I presume? 170" P&Y Minimum for them. He would easily make the 135" Canada Moose minimum.

To give you an idea, this moose nets 119". Small pans and not much for a front end.... Dew rag optional!

That's a cool pic Rack. You look kind of happy but well aware that the fun is now over.

LOL...I was by myself that morning and had made the split decision to fill my tag. I love that pic because in my mind you can see the wheels turning about having to quarter this moose up by myself in a wet swamp....

Fun Stuff! I shot this one when I was on my own in CFB Wainwright. I think it took me about half an hour just to get the picture. I had my camera on the tripod and would hit the timer button then run back and try to hold his head up for the pic. Most of the photos were of me pulling on his left antler trying to get his head up. Long day but luckily I could get the truck pretty close. \
