That is a very big one. Did you get him out of a river system or on the family farm?

If I remember right Rob had a article where he had trapped a very large beaver. I remember the picture, it dwarfed the others on the tailgate. Cant remember if he said how heavy it was.

I shot one tonight around 60 lbs. I've seen em a lot bigger than that tho, last year we had one show up that had to be close to 100.

I trapped one on the farm when I was 17 that weighed 113 lbs. When I skinned it out and put it on the beaver board it was 2 inches bigger all the way around on the board than the largest ring. I had the marks drawn out on a 4'x4' piece of 3/4" plywood and I actually had to redraw the ovals on a 4'x8' sheet because it was over the edges on the top & bottom. i had a proffessional trapper help me with this so it was not like I had stretched the cr@% out of it. I will have to find the picture and scan it. Sadly I sold my prize catch and have regreted it ever since. I have been looking off and on for the past 17 years for another that size to put on a willow hoop but, to no avail.

Don’t really understand, why you guys are bragging about the big beavers. From my experience , the smaller are better……

Was it a pregnant female? I find alot of the bigger ones that I shoot in the spring for bear bait are pregnant.

The biggest I have shot was this past Sunday (42 pounds). Most of the ones around my place never make 30 pounds do to their short life expectancy. lol
Last spring the neighbor trapped a pregnant female that weighed 92 pounds. She was like a furry little pig.

Not bragging but 13 years of baiting bigger is better just more bait
