She does it again
I took my daughter out to one of my bear baits last night.
she sat patiently.
Even though Ma nature had the stand rocking like a boat in choppy water, and alas at around 7:00PM the winds abaited and about 5 minutes later we had visitors.
After all the noise it was time for some pictures.
She used my Ruger #1 RSI in 7x57 shooting Hornady RN 154gr. bullets at a consrvative 2350fps.
The bear made it 20 yds.
Her first bear and what a charge it was to see her, so excited she exclaime she needed to pee so bad but could'nt get out of the stand for her trembling legs, she did make it out of the stand and she proclaimed the urgency was just her nerves...But wow, what a girl and although not the biggest bruin out there (5') she sure aint complaining.

Very nice! Congrats to you and your daughter. I was hoping to get my first bear today, too...but didn't find one (can't throw a beaver in the woods down here)...and then it started snowing. Hard. Maybe in a couple of weeks...
